Senior Cyber Security Manager - Network

Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking to employ a Senior Cyber Security Manager. The successful candidate will support the Health Board's Cyber Security Programme. This role will be specifically focused on dealing with the improvement programme for network security, with a focus on deriving value from solutions such as Cisco ISE and Firepower to enhance the Cyber Posture of the organisation.

Main duties of the job

  • Ensure that specialist or complex cyber security information is processed in accordance with policies & procedures.
  • Investigate specialist or complex cyber security issues, such as a potential security breaches of confidential data from a variety of software resources.
  • Provide specialist advice to the organisation based on national and local cyber security systems and policies.
  • Manage and administer a range of complex specialist cyber security software and services, such as an event logging software.
  • Analyse and interpret complex cyber security information for a variety of services.
  • The post holder will provide routine and emergency support in a diverse range of cyber security areas

Have autonomy in the delivery of the above and be responsible for their professional actions being held accountable for delivery of the service to agreed standards and within UHB policies.

  • Relevant BSc Degree or equivalent experience, with evidence of specialist knowledge to the equivalent of post graduate diploma level, acquired through training and experience.

Desirable

  • Relevant MSc or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Relevant Microsoft qualifications and/or training.

  • Competent in the management of staff.
  • Be comfortable working with all levels of organisation.
  • Self-starter, ability to work comfortably within resource constraints and deadlines.
