Job summary
You will provide a clinical service as a part of Care of the Elderly (COTE) Team, which will include the responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness. There is opportunity to develop your clinical skills with support from COTE Consultants.

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR UP TO 12 MONTHS DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE
The job is mainly based in Royal Glamorgan Hospital, which is an acute general hospital. The successful candidate will be one of the three registrar grade doctors (2 Speciality Registrars [St4-7] and one SAS doctor) responsible for looking after COTE patients in the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The team is supervised by five Care of the Elderly Consultants. There will be opportunity to undertake outpatient clinics with support from Consultants. These can also include patients referred to the General Medicine outpatient service and includes patients from 16 years upwards.

The candidate should be comfortable in determining when offering advice is reasonable or when to review patients in person after they have been seen by other members of the clinical team
Travelling as necessary between hospitals/clinic will be required to undertake such duties.
