Job summary

Team Lead Physiotherapist for the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Primary Fatigue Service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Physiotherapy Team Leader to Lead the newly developed Primary Fatigue Service based in Dewi Sant Hospital, Pontypridd. This is a health board wide service, an evolution of the previous Long Covid Rehabilitation Service to a symptom lead model.

The post holder will be a skilled and experienced practitioner and will be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise in fatigue management and have experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will need to work to develop the Primary Fatigue Service in line with the Adferiad (Recovery) model. The successful applicant will deliver specialist level 4 intervention in clinic, remote, group and home settings; develop level 3 and 4 group intervention content, lead MDT meetings, supervise junior staff and students and operationally manage the service.

Main duties of the job

Acting within their professional boundaries, the post holder will provide support and intervention for the presenting person through holistic person- centred assessment, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care within set parameters and across the multi-agency team approach. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision -making and expert care and support for people within the Primary Fatigue Service.

The successful applicant will have a significant role in the leadership of the team supporting and developing those staff and will also have responsibility for students on placement from undergraduate physiotherapy programmes
