Job summary

This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic & keen doctor, with an interest Medicine. The post holder will provide Junior support to the Medicine Teams as required by the needs of the service

Main duties of the job

The post is full time, fixed-term service for 12 months. JCF's will work Monday-Friday and will be expected to cover Medicine on Call take, which will include working out of hours and weekends. As part of the Medicine team you will review patients daily and support the weekly consultant ward around to enable efficient senior decision-making and effective management of patients.

Knowledge

Essential

  • good general Medical knowledge
  • Ability to work with various members of multidisciplinary teams

Desirable

  • evidence of service planning and development

Education/ Qualification and training

Essential

  • Basic medical training

  • MRCP/DGM
  • ACLS certificate

Experience

Essential

  • 4 years post graduate training (or equivalent gained on part-time/flexible basis), at least 2 of which are working at CMT level (of equivalent) in Medicine

Physical requirements and attributes to include general health

  • Pass Occupational Health check

Circumstances e.g. Mobility, availability - special attendance requirements

  • Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice
