Staff Nurse- Care of the Elderly/General Medicine.
Its an exciting time to join us on Ward 12 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. Ward 12 is a 28 bedded medical ward that cares for a wide range of patients.
We are looking for staff who have an interest insupporting and treating patients with chronic and acute medical conditions. We are looking for motivated, caring individuals who strive to achieve high standards of care for all patients.
There will be opportunities for internal development as the University Health Board has a dedicated training and development department offering a wide range of in house courses. We also have close links with the University of Glamorgan to support your ongoing professional development which you will be required to demonstrate as part of re-validation. Informal visits are encouraged.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for implementing and reviewing planned nursing care and giving treatment as needed. They will be responsible for the maintenance of nursing records for patients during their shifts.
The post holder will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as a team on their owninitiative.Staff will be required to be well organised and have time good time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative with high standards.
The post holder must have an NMC PIN Number to be able to apply for this post.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
