Applications are invited for a band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to support the Resilient Families service in delivery of their language and communication development in the early years pathway.
The team is funded through a Service Level Agreement with the Resilient Families service in Rhondda, Cynon and Taf Local Authority to provide support for children with a focus on universal preschool provision.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will support the Resilient families Service in delivering high quality services to children, families and Early Years Settings in the Rhondda, Cynon and Taf areas. The focus is on providing assessment, advice, signposting and training to families and professionals working with young children. The postholder will be expected to work from home for a proportion of the week.
Cwm Taf Morgannwg SLT department are a friendly and compassionate team who place a strong commitment to supporting staff wellbeing, supervision and continued professional development.
The children's SLT service has a range of clinical specialists available for support and second opinions and staff are fully supported by a line management structure, Paediatric Team Leads and an Admin Team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post: Welsh and/or English speakersare equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term for 20 months due to - meet the needs of the service
