Community Nurse Leg Ulcer Management

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ceredigion Leg Ulcer Service for a committed, flexible RGN with previous experience and a genuine interest in leg ulcer management. We are looking for a highly motivated nurse with a passion for delivering high quality evidence-based leg ulcer care.

The post holder would lead on the delivery of the Leg Ulcer model throughout Ceredigion and support staff in training and delivery of a patient centred leg ulcer model.

The post holder will be required to undertake clinical skills such as assessment, compression therapy, hosiery measurement, wound and skin management and Doppler ultrasound. Experience in Doppler ultrasound and compression therapy is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be given. Experience in Teaching or delivery of education is desirable.

The suitable candidate must hold excellent communication and time management skills, previous experience in mentoring and have a flexible approach to the needs of the service and work well as part of a team.
