The closing date is 30 March 2026

Job summary

If you enjoy leading meaningful change, working with a wide range of colleagues and partners, and want to play a key role in shaping the future of health services across Hywel Dda University Health Board, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

We are looking for a motivated and forward thinking Project Manager to join our Transformation Programme Office, supporting the delivery of the Health Boards ambition for a healthier Mid and West Wales.

As Project Manager, you will lead and contribute to a range of strategic service improvement, modernisation and capital projects. A flexible approach is essential, as you will collaborate with partners across the Health Board, external agencies, local authorities, and patient representatives. The ability to build relationships, influence others, and support teams through change will be central to your success.

If you are enthusiastic, committed to improvement, and excited by the opportunity to contribute to transformational work across Hywel Dda University Health Board, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Lead and contribute to a wide range of strategic service improvement, modernisation and capital projects, ensuring they support the Health Board's strategic objectives and respond to local and national priorities.
  • Provide expert project management support, advice and guidance to managers, clinicians and staff, helping them deliver modernised, patient focused services and improved pathways of care.
  • Work collaboratively with service leads, senior clinicians, operational teams and external partners to design, plan and implement new ways of working that enhance quality, performance and patient experience.
  • Analyse complex data and service information to support service redesign, inform decision making and contribute to business cases, service reviews and planning processes.
  • Develop, monitor and adapt project plans to reflect changing priorities, ensuring strong governance arrangements are in place and progress is communicated effectively to relevant groups and forums.
  • Communicate highly complex and occasionally sensitive information confidently and clearly, influencing and negotiating with a range of stakeholders including clinicians, senior managers, partner organisations and service users.
