This is an exciting opportunity for a non-registered health care support worker to specialise in a rewarding field of practice.
Full training on the management of Lymphoedema will be provided with access to further formal education provided by the National Lymphoedema Team. When confident and competent you will be able to work autonomously with a delegated caseload of patients.
There is an administrative element of the role which supports the local and wider Lymphoedema teams, this includes organisation of clinical work and answering patient enquiries.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will form part of a team responsible for the delivery of lymphoedema services for Pembrokeshire for Hywel Dda Health Board. This will involve working in collaboration with the wider lymphoedema team to deliver holistic care.
The post holder will work as part of the lymphoedema service undertaking assessment & treatment programmes. They will work with the team and alone with guidance and direction of the qualified staff. They will assist with specified clinical duties and administrative tasks, in the provision of an efficient, caring, patient focused service.
The post holder will be required to participate in the provision of a flexible approach to 7 day service, based on service need, with ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Level 3 qualification in Health (Allied Health Profession Support - Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy) or other equivalent training, qualifications or experience OR Level 3 experience with a willingness to complete relevant Level 3 qualification within a specified timescale after successful appointment
- Knowledge of therapy intervention (Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy) through acquired experience and/or training
- Numeracy and literacy to at least level 2 (GCSE or equivalent)
