This is a fixed term/secondment vacancy until 31/03/2027 to cover maternity leave.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and cheerful assistant to our well established team at Withybush Creche. The successful candidate will need a recognised childcare qualification, such as a Level 2 Diploma in Childcare, and have some experience within a childcare setting.
Main duties of the job
- Working with a team of crche assistants, the successful candidate will be responsible for the care of all children who use the crche, and for delivering that care in accordance with current policies and procedures.
- They will be expected to assist with preparation and service of food at meal times, completing written records as necessary, engage with indoor and out door play, and to escort the children to and from schools as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Interact with the children in at their level throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors. Oversee pre-arranged activities such as "circle time", read to the children as a group or as individuals.
Helping with toileting and nappy changing - and support toilet training .
Raising concerns, ideas or observations with the higher level assistants or the Team Leader.
