An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Merlin Ward nursing team. Merlin Ward is an 18 bedded ENT ward receiving both emergency and routine elective admissions.

The successful candidate will be responsible in caring for a wide range of Ear, Nose and Throat patients along with patients undergoing major Head and Neck Surgery. Previous experience in these areas is desirable though not essential as full training will be provided in tracheostomy, laryngectomy care, airway management and the psychological effects that can occur with regards to altered body image.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for talented individuals to become a member of our quality care delivery team who are highly motivated with excellent communication, leadership and team building skills. In joining Merlin Ward the successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive team of nurses working closely alongside highly skilled doctors, clinical nurse specialists and an array of allied health care professionals.

There is also potential rotation within the wider surgical directorate providing staff with the opportunity for further development of knowledge and skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
