Job summary
Hywel Dda Information Services is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and diligent Information Officer to join our busy team. The role will support the provision of high-quality data to support intelligence-led decision making within the Health Board and the timely submission of mandatory national data submissions.
Excellent communication skills (all forms) are necessary as the post holder will be required to liaise with colleagues and services across the Health Board, in relation to data collated and reported.
This role is Health Board wide. Base location is negotiable and can be discussed at interview and includes Hybrid working.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role will include:
- Assisting in the provision of a comprehensive Information Service to the Health Board and external agencies.
- Supporting the collection, validation, processing and reporting of health and administrative data as defined by local/national guidelines.
- Working with a range of systems to ensure the delivery of routine information that supports performance monitoring, service improvement, and statutory reporting.
- Liaising with both internal and external parties to assess, resolve, and/or forward enquiries in relation to routine data queries.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.
We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.
We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.
