This an exciting opportunity to join the Anaesthetics team at Bronglais General Hospital in Aberystwyth, Ceredigion which is an area of outstanding beauty offering a fantastic quality of life alongside a developing professional role. We are looking for a highly committed and motivated individual to join our Anaesthetics team to deliver a high quality service to our patients, and get involved with the forward looking wider developments currently being considered.
Main duties of the job
To provide with consultant colleagues, an Anaesthesia service for general, orthopaedic, gynaecological, obstetric and ophthalmic surgery both urgent and elective surgery.
Theatre sessions are available in a variety of specialties and will be agreed with the successful applicant based on Sub-specialty interests.
The department works a fully flexible rota that includes elective theatre lists, urgent surgery/trauma lists, as well as day time ITU sessions. There are day and night resident on call consultants covering theatres and ICU as well as a 2nd on call form home, 7 days of the week.
The on call attracts a band 3 supplement and is provided on a rolling rota basiswhich is specific to Bronglais.
