We are looking to recruit a motivated individual to join our Difficult Asthma Team for a one-year project aimed at developing and enhancing our service. This role will make a real difference in patient care and support the delivery of a high-quality pathway for those with complex asthma needs.
As the post holder, you will act as the main point of contact for all administrative tasks related to the Difficult Asthma Biologic Pathway and you will work closely within a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure the management of the patient journey, from referral through to discharge.
You will maintain accurate data on Health Board systems, manage clinic schedules, and ensure compliance with policies for filing and correspondence.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include preparing cases for Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings, booking appointments, and ensuring that outcomes are actioned promptly. In addition, you will provide essential administrative support to the Lead Respiratory Consultant for Asthma and the Asthma Interface Specialist Nurses, helping to maintain an efficient and patient-focused service. Help us to keep patient care running smoothly by managing outpatient journeys, coordinating with teams and other Health Boards, and ensuring patients receive timely treatment. You'll be answering queries, sharing updates, and making sure everything from paperwork to transport is in place.
