Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join our team as a Multi-Disciplinary Teams Co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will provide dedicated administrative support to cancer site-specific Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) and to co-ordinate and attend weekly meetings that determine the clinical management for patients diagnosed with cancer within the Health Board.

Collect information on appropriate cancer site-specific patients and enter it onto a database enabling the specialist teams to monitor their activity, clinical outcomes and performance against National Cancer Standards.

Operate the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting module and Cancer Dataset records to ensure completeness and accuracy of clinical information.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job will include:

Working closely with appropriate MDT members to ensure that the clinical information collected complies with cancer site datasets agreed by the relevant cancer clinicians and Cancer Services Co- ordinating Group (CSCG).

Retrieving and extracting information from various sources. Identify and rectify any discrepancies in the information. This can include, clinical diagnoses of Cancer patients, TNM classification of malignant tumours, morphology, International Statistical classification of Diseases.

Inputting information into the MDT plan via Welsh Clinical Portal within strict deadlines to ensure all necessary patient details are available for the MDT.

Making judgements in relation to patients that may require MDT discussion, being able to identify abnormal Pathology and Radiology reports/results to ensure these are flagged to clinicians urgently.

Communicating effectively during the MDT to ensure accurate recording of complex information given by Radiologist, Clinicians, Clinical Nurses Specialities, Oncologists and other Healthcare Professionals.
