Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and registered Art Psychotherapist to join the Palliative Care team in Ceredigion. The role aims to provide face to face and online Art Psychotherapy intervention to Palliative Care patients, carers and family members and to accept referrals from diagnosis to end of life. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified practitioner with some experience in Bereavement and End of life.
Main duties of the job
Delivering one to one and group Art Therapy sessions to adult service users and their adult carers/family members. Evaluating andimplementing high quality specialist Art psychotherapeutic work including:
- Providing an efficient, effective comprehensive psychodynamic Art Psychotherapy service, for adults who have diagnoses of lifelimiting illnesses and onwards to the end of life.
- Assessing and formulating therapy plans, including working with anticipatory grief, and limited bereavement support wherenecessary. Referring on to relevant services as needed.Developing and co-ordinating the Art Therapy service in Ceredigion.
- Contribute to the ongoing programme of training for staff arranged by palliative care team.
- Supervising Art Therapy students.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
