We are looking for a enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Nursing team based at Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen
This will include working in the departments listed below:
SDEC - Acute Medical Admissions conveyed by Ambulance or referred by General Practitioners - will see patients with a wide range of Acute medical problems that can be manged on the same Day
MDU caring for patients having day procedures such as biopsies, chest drains , cardioversions etc and patients receiving infusions long term conditions such as for crones, haematological problems, respiratory illness and rheumatoid arthritis. This is a nurse led unit and staff will be expected to work autonomously to enhance patient care and get patients treated and home on the same day.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a nurse that is passionate about delivering the best care possible, who has excellent communication skills and are willing to work as part of a committed and skilled multi-disciplinary team.
We have a very supportive environment for a registered nurse with an on-site professional development nurse as well as an excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses.
You will enjoy excellent conditions of employment and we are fully committed to supporting employees in achieving the appropriate work life balance, offering flexible opportunities and working hours. We are open from 08.00 until 18.30 5 days a week with plans to open form 8.00 until 20.00 7 days a week.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
