Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced cancer Nurse to join the non-medical Oncology Team at Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Based at Withybush General Hospital, the successful post holder will primarily support people attending oncology clinics at Withybush Hospital or receiving systemic-anti cancer treatment at Withybush Hospital. Occasionally there may be a requirement to travel to other sites across the Health board to support other oncology clinics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

You will be an integral part of the Oncology team and will support patients through contact in clinic alongside the medical team, nurse led clinics and through follow up outside of clinic times.

If you are not already an independent non medical prescriber, you will be supported to complete this qualification within your first year in post. You will be experienced in managing toxicities of systemic anticancer treatment.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post: English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
