Job summary
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill a permanent part time post within the Phlebotomy team at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen.
The part time Band 2 Phlebotomy post is 15 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8.00am to 11.00am
Flexibility around these hours may be required at times and there is an additional requirement to participate on the Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday rota (these shifts will be in addition to the contracted hours and there will be extra remuneration for staff on this rota).
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be based at Glangwili General Hospital and will assist in the provision of an efficient, caring and smooth running Phlebotomy service where they will work as part of a team to undertake a wide range of duties appropriate to the section but will mainly be involved with the collection of blood samples by venepuncture for analysis from the Wards, Out Patients Department and Outreach Clinics.
Full in house training will be provided upon commencement under the direction of the Phlebotomy Team Leader.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
