Job summary
Hywel Dda is currently recruiting for a key role within our Trauma & Orthopaedics Team: Administrative & Information Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Complex Revision Arthroplasty Service and data input for Health Boards systems such as the National Joint Registry, the National Hip Fracture Database and the Bone and Joint Infection Registry which assist the clinical teams with measuring patient outcomes. The Complex Revision Arthroplasty Service is in it's infancy and the postholder will be key to the development of this service the governance processes that wrap around it. We are looking for an individual who is keen to work with clinicians to set up systems within this and would suit an organised individual with a keen eye for attention to detail. The postholder will provide data input and analytical support to the Trauma & Orthopaedic Management Team and will include the development and provision of relevant, accurate and timely information to support Management reporting, statutory returns and adhoc requests. The base of the position will be Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen, however there will be expectation to travel to Withybush General Hospital in Haverfordwest two days per week to support the data entry element of the role. This is a full time post - 37.5 hours per week.
