Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent post within the Diabetes Team at Hywel Dda University Health Board as a clinical nurse specialist in Paediatric Diabetes.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced paediatric nurse to work within a dynamic and forward thinking team. The applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of the highest possible standards of care and safety.

The role will require the applicant to be flexible, supporting children and young people and their families as both an inpatient and an outpatient. The post offers an opportunity to work across secondary care, community, education and social care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have continuing responsibility for a defined caseload, setting standards of care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care.

Working autonomously and in association with, and in support of other colleagues and members of the multidisciplinary team and with other agencies where appropriate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
