Are you an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian looking to specialise in the area of Diabetes?We are a friendly, supportive dietetic service who aim to focus on the development of your skills and confidence as an autonomous practitioner while maintain a good life balance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the well-established dynamic diabetes dietetic team at Hywel Dda which holds a high profile both within the wider therapies team and across the Health Board. We fully support continuing professional development, appraisal and supervision and actively enable this with protected sessions in individualised job plans.

You will have the opportunity to be a valuable part of the diabetes service health board wide.

This is a key role for a Diabetes dietitian to increase skills both in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes care, across the Hywel Dda locality however regular base can be flexible.

This role offers a unique opportunity for someone with a passion to improve health outcomes across Hywel Dda and a commitment to develop and learn.

If you already have an interest and experience in diabetes, or someone who is keen to use their existing clinical skills in this area this role could be for you.

Main duties of the job

Delivery of Diabetes dietetics; managing a varied and complex caseload, delivering structured education, working as an integral member of the diabetes dietetic team, working effectively as part of wider multi-disciplinary teams.

Work as an integral member of diabetes multi-disciplinary teams, informing patient care, and supporting excellent nutritional care and diabetes management through evidence-based practice.

Participate in quality improvement, clinical audit and development work, associated with Diabetes / Nutrition and Dietetics. Act as an advocate for Diabetes / Nutrition and Dietetics.

Development and delivery of specialist knowledge-based training and education.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
