We are looking for an experienced Dietetic lead to join our friendly and supportive team as a Service lead for Acute Nutrition support to provide 12 months maternity cover. You will work closely with our acute Dietetic leads, CNS nutrition nurses, professional practice nurses and Malnutrition strategic lead to ensure Malnutrition is a key priority embedded operationally across acute pathways Health Board wide.
Main duties of the job
You will manage a team of Clinical lead Dietitian's working in Acute Nutrition support HB wide, lead on recruitment and development plans and workforce opportunities
You will have excellent communication and team working skills and will work collaboratively with the wider multi professional team including Consultants, senior Nurses, pharmacy colleagues and procurement to ensure all aspects of Acute Nutrition support are embedded safely in practice. A key aspect of this role is developing, implementing, and evaluating the development of Nutrition support teams HB wide to optimise patient care and safety in line with NICE Clinical guideline 32 (2007).
As the service lead you will set the direction of travel for Acute nutrition support and will pro-actively lead and support clinical leads with performance reporting. You will have a passion for promoting workforce wellbeing as well as driving workforce opportunities to ensure professional development utilising the pillars of professional practice. You will be pro-active in highlighting the work of acute Dietetics and will have experience in innovation, transformation, and quality improvement.
You will work closely and alongside the clinical lead for Acute nutrition support (critical care) based in Glangwili Hospital as well as our acute clinical leads HB wide. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of acute nutrition support and will share a caseload of complex patients on our 18 bedded critical care unit.
