Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join the Administration Team at the Central Transport Unit as a Transport and Travel Administrator.

This position offers a chance to become part of a growing team within the Central Operations Directorate. We are looking to recruit a dynamic individual, who possesses the enthusiasm and determination to identify and execute changes while contributing to the Health Board's decarbonisation initiatives.

As per the person specification for this role, a full UK Driving Licence is required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a range of administrative duties in support of the Central Transport Unit. This will include acting as a first point of contact for any calls made to the unit, keeping all Transport databases up to date, providing administrative support for ongoing transport initiatives and supporting the Transport & Sustainable Travel Manager in the development and delivery of specific projects.

The post holder will be responsible for administering and coordinating the Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) Central Pool Car Scheme. This will include conducting staff inductions for those accessing the scheme, managing vehicle bookings, coordinating vehicle maintenance and addressing any day to day operational issues that arise as a result of the scheme.

The position will also involve a significant element of transport coordination. This will include receiving requests for taxis, courier services, Patient Transport Services (PTS), and staff transport. The post holder will be responsible for accurately recording these requests and arranging the most suitable and cost effective solution from the range of providers available to HDUHB.
