This post would be an ideal opportunity for somebody looking for a role based in the out-patients department at Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Audiology department that includes outreach sites. Based in the Audiology department you will be required to help and support our patients by answering telephone calls, booking patients in for their appointments with an Audiologist and issuing hearing aid batteries and consumables. You will also be responsible for booking adult Audiology clinics as well as undertaking a variety of general clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of the Audiology department. You will also be expected to support the Audiology Manager and Office Manager in the delivery key performance indicators and service developments.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills and have previous experience in administration and/or clerical duties. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi-task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions. Experience of working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
To develop and maintain an effective, friendly and professional clinic administration service for patients and staff, ensuring clinics are administered according to best practice with appropriate staffing levels and efficient use of resources.
Provide a reception and an administrative support service including answering the telephone, greeting customers and dealing with incoming / outgoing mail. Working closely with the larger Audiology team, continually improve service delivery.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Audiology department that includes outreach site, supporting the Audiology Manager and Office Manager to delivery key performance indicators and service developments.
