Main duties of the job
What You'll Do and What We're Looking For:
Lead and inspire a team -- Lead a specialist team of respiratory nurses, research nurses /officers and research assistants, supporting their development, and keep everyone motivated and on track.
Run complex clinical trials-- Oversee study setup, patient recruitment, consent, data collection, and follow-up, ensuring trials meet regulations and high-quality standards.
Support patients and families-- Explain research studies clearly, help them make informed choices, and provide compassionate care throughout their journey.
Work collaboratively -- Liaise confidently with clinicians, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and support services to keep research running smoothly.
Problem-solve and prioritise-- Juggle multiple studies, handle challenges calmly, and think on your feet to keep projects moving forward.
Maintain high standards -- Uphold Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and research governance, with sharp attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping.
About us
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:
