Senior Management Accountant

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join a team, supporting the financial management of a significant group of Health Board's services.

You will be required to lead on the provision of financial information and analyse expenditure, in order to improve understanding and management of costs and resources, working within parameters agreed with the Business Controller.

You will also lead on the review and analysis of financial reports from the General ledger, in accordance with the agreed timetable and procedures, proactively reviewing and developing both processes and reports.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining the team at an exciting time, as we have recently transitioned to a new Business Control and Business Partner model. To join our ambitious team, we are looking for an accomplished, highly motivated individual with experience of a complex organisation. You will be confident in working with senior service leads and providing robust financial leadership.

This role will provide high quality financial management and customer focused financial support for the Health Board's Estates and Facilities directorate and several Corporate directorates.

Delivery of robust financial monitoring, forecasting and planning will be essential. You will also need to demonstrate leadership in coordinating workplans across the team. A CCAB qualification is desirable.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
