You'll combine hands-on clinical knowledge with innovative teaching methods, using digital tools and blended learning to support diverse learners across care settings. You'll contribute to service improvement, quality assurance, and educational programme design, all while supporting staff through mentoring and evaluation.

Main duties of the job
Education & Training Delivery
- Deliver and facilitate programmes including induction, support worker development, simulation-based education, OSCEs, and other organisational priority training.
- Design and adapt blended learning opportunities tailored to individual learning needs.
- Assess written work and practical competencies in workplace settings.
Programme Development & Quality
- Co-develop educational resources and programmes with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Participate in quality assurance through standardisation meetings and feedback processes.
- Support the continuous improvement of training delivery and learner experience.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
- Work independently and as part of the Clinical Education Team.
- Supervise and mentor colleagues to enhance educational skills.
- Contribute to planning, timetabling, communication, and maintaining learner records.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Promote training opportunities and educational compliance across the Health Board.
Digital & Technical Tasks
- Set up and maintain training equipment and environments.
- Use and maintain IT systems for record-keeping, reporting, and developing training materials.
Monitoring, Governance & Evaluation
- Participate in audits, governance, research, and service improvement projects.
- Ensure training and compliance records meet awarding body and policy standards

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
