This is a fixed term/secondment post until 04/08/2026.

Clinical Lead Dietitian All age Eating disorders , 1.00wte - 37.5 hours / week, open to flexible working requests.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic dietitian with a keen interest in Eating Disorders and multidisplinary team working, to clinically lead delivery of high quality, impactful nutrition and dietetics as an integral part of Adult, Child and Young person (CYP) eating disorders services within Hywel Dda. You will be joining an evolving and dynamic eating disorder service and be fully integrated with and supported by the wider nutrition and dietetic service.

You will benefit from good digital equipment and support, a well established dietetic service structure and will be joining a dynamic, friendly and supportive team. Relocation support may be available. Informal visits to meet the team are welcomed.

Main duties of the job

Provide Health Board wide clinical leadership in the delivery of the Nutrition & Dietetic service for adult and CYP under the eating disorders specialist teams.

Develop and maintain clinical standards in line with best practice, working collaboratively with the wider dietetic leadership team to deliver excellent nutrition and dietetic care for people with eating disorders.

Manage a highly complex and specialist caseload working autonomously and as an integral member of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.

Provide education, training and supervision to others in line with clinical expertise in Eating Disorders and Dietetics.

Enable team members to manage caseloads effectively and efficiently, facilitate team working and support consistent standards of best practice.

As the dietetic expert, take a lead role as appropriate in the development and implementation of nutrition related policy, guidelines, protocol, pathways, standards and services, working with the wider MDT as required.

Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of dietetic services in the area of Eating Disorders.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • Accredited post graduate study relevant to eating disorders to master's level or equivalent
  • Completed Clinical Supervisory skills training
  • Advanced clinical knowledge within the specialist field of eating disorders and dietetics acquired through specialist training or equivalent clinical experience
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply evidence-based methodology to support improvement, and service delivery.
  • Expert knowledge of clinical guidance and policy relevant to the specialist area.

Desirable

  • Completed Formal Motivational interviewing training
  • Accredited in delivering ED models of care ( i.e MANTRA, CBT-T, CBT-ED, CFT,)
  • Other professional, technical or academic qualifications which relates to ED clinical practice
  • Familiar with reasonable adjustments in care and treatment required when working with patients with a neurodiverse diagnosis
