This is advertised as a Fixed Term/Secondment post until 26/05/2026 to meet service needs.If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.
We are recruiting for a Health Records Clerk to be based in our Health Records Department in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.
For this role, previous experience is not required as on the job training will be provided. You will predominately begin your training in our Filing Library and then be exposed to other duties within the department, both on the Prince Philip Hospital and Dafen Industrial Estate sites.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will cover a range of duties including;
- Filing and retrieving of patient records, locating, and providing patient records for all outpatient appointments, planned admissions and day case attendances.
- Operation of a computerised patients administration system, including inputting and retrieval of data.
- Arranging patients' hospital appointments via the appointment centre and general phone duties.
- Scanning of records for a number of departments.
A flexible approach to the needs of the service is required and to undertake additional duties as and when required. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is vital.
