Job summary

In Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics team in Carmarthenshire in order to support our Acute services.

The job will involve working alongside Physiotherapists and undertaking delegated tasks to deliver rehabilitation programmes with patients and working in collaboration with multi disciplinary teams (MDT) to deliver holistic care. We are an evolving service and are looking to recruit people who share our core values in HDUHB and who have an interest and skills in rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will form part of a team responsible for the delivery of rehabilitation services within the physiotherapy service of Hywel Dda Health Board. This will involve working in collaboration with multi disciplinary teams (MDT) to deliver holistic care.

The post holder will work as part of the trauma and orthopaedic physiotherapy service undertaking assessment & treatment programmes. They will work with the team and alone with guidance and direction of the qualified staff. They will assist with specified clinical duties and administrative tasks, in the provision of an efficient, caring, patient focused service.

The post holder will be required to participate in the provision of a flexible approach to 7 day service, based on service need.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
