Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and suitably experienced individual to join our Recruitment Team.

We currently have an Advisor vacancy available within theConsultants and General Practitioners (GP) Team.

The successful applicant will need to be be able to build strong working relationships and be able to prioritise well. This role comes at a time when, as both a function and an organisation, we are being asked to do more with less, and so the ability to review processes and approaches and implement changes as appropriate is key.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Recruitment Department in the delivery and continuous improvement of the recruitment service within the Health Board. This will include (but is not limited to):

  • Co-ordinating the full recruitment process from advertising to onboarding;
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Leading a Team;
  • Working closely with others within Recruitment to consider innovative solutions to engage candidates;
  • Being a key contact in providing guidance and advice on Recruitment matters;
  • Working to deadlines and Key Performance Indicators.

Working with a variety of stakeholders you will need to hold the Health Board values at the centre of your day to day transactions.

About us

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:

Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject e.g. Business Management, Human Resources or equivalent level of relevant knowledge or experience e.g. o Understands customer needs and importance of engagement to achieve outcomes; o Knows how to manage own workload and Team; o Knows how to apply critical thinking to problem-solve; o Understands how personal communication styles can impact on others and knows how to adapt to the communication style of others.

Desirable

  • CIPD qualified or willing to work towards
  • Knowledge of web-design and social media tools to attract potential staff to the organisation
  • Knowledge of NHS modernisation agenda

Experience

Essential

  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service through robust administration and coordination systems.
  • Ability to deliver and to work with clinicians to find innovative solutions for recruiting staff in competitive environments
  • Demonstrable experience of working and liaising with senior managers

Desirable

  • Extensive previous experience in administration/coordination either within the NHS or within recruitment
  • NHS or recruitment experience
