An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and highly skilled individual to join the Core Accounting Team as a Senior Accounts Assistant.
This role will take a lead in supervising our Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Accounting section within the Core Accounting Team. Key tasks including:
Ensuring the integrity of the National Complex Care Database
Coordinating the posting of all journals into the ledger
Balance sheet management
Analytical review of data
Month end and year end closedown duties
Regular reconciliations of database and ledger
Processing of claims relating to retrospective reviews
Assisting with annual fee uplift process
Staff Management
The post holder will be responsible for managing and controlling the delivery of the CHC Accounting month end and year end tasks which form part of the Core Accounting annual plan and key to the successful implementation of the Health Board's Strategy.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Senior Accounts Assistant is to be focused on supporting the provision of sound Financial Management and Reporting services to meet this aspect of the Health Board's financial duties - to deliver their financial targets.
The successful applicant will work closely with our Finance teams and external stakeholders to manage the implementation of the Core Accounting Team project objectives, contributing to Organisational innovation and delivering high quality of reporting.
Applicants should specifically have the following:
Extensive experience of working with Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Exposure to Oracle would also be beneficial.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
