Job summary

The Organisation Development (OD) Department plays a prominent role in supporting and enabling the delivery of the Workforce, Organisational Development and Education Strategy 2020-2030. The strategy is aligned to Hywel Dda University Health Board's (HDUHB) Health and Care Strategy, 'A Healthier Mid and West Wales' and outlines the future vision for our workforce over the next 10 years.

This is such an exciting time for our team as we continue with our range of leadership and organisation development initiatives including; leadership development programmes, leadership talent management and succession planning and growth of the coaching network.

We are looking for a person with a pleasant disposition and with excellent interpersonal skills, strong facilitation and programme administration experience, digitalproficiencyand a desire to support our team and our leaders in everything we do.

Main duties of the job

  • Work flexibly - in the office, from home and deliver sessions in person at various sites across the Health Board?

About us

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:

Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;

Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;

47 general practices (6 of which are managed practices), 45 dental practices (including 4 orthodontic), 96 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

  • IT literate with a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft office, packages including word, excel, power point, outlook & teams

Desirable

  • OD or L&D qualification or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Accreditation for tools/psychometrics (e.g. 360 feedback, action learning facilitation, MBTI) or willing to work towards
  • Evidence of relevant CPD

  • Extensive previous experience of working in a busy, complex environment with sensitive and confidential information
  • Experience of providing facilitation, delivery and evaluation of training or development programmes
