Job summary

The post holder will play a key role in leading and delivering the Health Board's Community Dental Service improvement work and management of service delivery.

The post holder will play a key role in leading and delivering the Health Board's Community Dental Service improvement work and management of service delivery. Provide leadership in service improvement and change management. Ensure delivery of care within defined care pathways. To work strategically across Dental Services Directorate and provide expert advice. To lead on performance and waiting list management within the service and report accordingly.

Main duties of the job

Providing leadership in developing and implementing service improvement in relation to the CDS key strategic improvement programmes.Providing a source of specialist expertise and advice on service improvement andchange management skills across the CDS and Health Board Dental Services. Working with other health and social care providers and with patients and families aspart of the clinical team to make sustainable change and improvement. Assisting multidisciplinary clinical dental teams in developing analytical and measurement skills to support service improvement. To provide professional leadership, management and advice within the CDS andDirectorate and to take professional responsibility for the designated clinical dental areas and services.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

  • Excellent knowledge of coaching, influencing and engaging techniques
  • Significant experience in: - an operational/patient care management post within the NHS - Whole system change management experience / influencing policy development - Ability to lead successful change - Analysing performance and highly complex data and information and using this to deliver service targets and performance improvements - Working across organizational boundaries / multi-agency professional working
