HDUHB have been supporting our Learning Disability clients for many years and we would like to think we excel at providing a holistic and therapeutic environment in which each of them thrive.
The right individual will have knowledge of Learning Disabilities and the challenges of everyday tasks for people with Autism. The fundamentals of care are extremely important to us and this is an ideal opportunity to complete level 4 training to further your journey in Hywel Dda Health Board.

Main duties of the job
Our Band 3 healthcare assistants have the responsibility of managing care, providing medication (including controlled drugs) and making decisions with regards to behaviours that challenge.
The work environment is maintained entirely by staff on shift so general duties include cooking, cleaning and gardening.
Personal care for our clients is of a very high standard and our staffing ratio is reflective of this so you will always be well supported by colleagues.
Community engagement and health promotion are two of our key priorities and clients are well supported to do this safely.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
