We have exciting new opportunities to work within a newly established 26-bed Elective Surgical Ward & Enhanced Care Unit, for Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and innovative. They need to be motivated with excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to support the Senior Sister and Multidisciplinary team in providing patient centred, high standards of care, and efficient safe management of patients. The successful candidate must have experience in post-operative care and a postgraduate critical care qualification is desirable. They will need to be confident in leading the team in the absence of the Senior Sister and will require to facilitate an environment where junior team members are supported to develop.
Main duties of the job
The applicants should be able to demonstrate the use of evidence-based practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with a readiness to innovate and develop nursing within a team approach.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
