As Digital Development Lead you will be critical in leading on, and delivering our vision. We are looking for someone with knowledge of emerging technologies, who can shape and deliver digital transformative and innovative strategies from the initial planning stage through to launch and delivery, ensuring the smooth and effective transition from projects into business as usual working closely with our project managers.
Main duties of the job
The Digital Development Lead is responsible for programme planning, identification of opportunities and savings, rapid improvement in identified areas and delivery of benefits. The post holder will be crucial to the promotion of a continuous improvement culture through the application of the Health Board's change methodology.
The post holder will be responsible for programme/project life cycles including the effective scoping, planning, development and benefits realisation of projects to timescale, budget and quality expectations.The Digital Development Lead will support the Head of Innovation and Transformation with the management and governance of the rapid improvement element of the transformation agenda and will ensure that reporting of programme progress against milestones and targets is completed to schedule.
The Digital Development Lead role is expected to act as an ambassador of the Innovation and transformation team to the rest of the organisation, representing a high performing, supportive team who are well versed in the current needs of the organisation and providing solution ideation.
The Digital Development Lead will be accountable to the Head of Innovation and Transformation for working in a professional manner and in accordance with the Health Board's defined methods, governance and reporting.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
