Job summary
The post will carry overall continuing responsibility for the management and leadership of the PICU and Learning Disability Inpatient Pathway workers including administration and the over co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programme's of care and the setting and auditing of standards of care.
The overall responsibility for workload management and reviews.
Responding for providing a quality patient service which allows for an environment that demonstrates good learning experiences for staff and basic/post basic students
Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will:
- Manage the PICU and Learning Disability Inpatient Pathway workers.
- Practice autonomously and is accountable for own actions
- Seek appropriate clinical supervision under own volition
- Be required to interpret and act upon overall health service policy and strategy relating to developing and maintaining highly specialist field of practice
- Carry overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the PICU
- Carry overall responsibility for the project management and development of the PICU
- Carry out highly specialist clinical practice with a specifically defined client group
- Facilitate move on solutions to appropriate accommodation in keeping with the individuals need
- Coordinate staff of the PICU and Learning Disability Inpatient Pathway workers
- Plan and organise day to day running of the unit and day to day tasks involving patients and managerial duties
- Arrange and facilitate meetings associated with PICU
- Chair focus groups and steering groups as appropriate
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care and the setting and auditing of standards of care
