An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated staff nurse to work on an older adult assessment unit based in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli on either a full time or part time basis.
Bryngolau ward is a 15 bedded unit that works directly with both males and females with a variety of functional and organic diseases. If successful you will work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team to make a direct positive difference to patients and carers. Surroundings / AreaThe unit is situated within the site of Prince Philip Hospital in, Llanelli. As well as all the benefits the Trust offer, we are central to all local shopping centres, public transport is on site, and M4 is within a mile. Llanelli is a market town and the largest community in Carmarthenshire located on the Loughor estuary only 10.5 miles from Swansea. Llanelli has scenic coastal paths, beautiful beaches, a choice of nature and wildlife areas, historic landmarks and a variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy on your days off.
Main duties of the job
- You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team which consists of Doctors, Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Pharmacists, using a collaborative approach to solve and manage problems for the people in our care.- Applicants should look at holistic approach to support patients to achieve their goals.- Applicants must to be committed towards helping to improve and deliver the highest standard of person centred care.- Applicants should have good communication skills and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.- Applicants need to have a willingness to develop to their maximum potential.- If you think you have the right skills, qualities and values to make the most of this post then we would like you to hear from you.

About us
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
