Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced manager to the post of Business Manager for Unscheduled Care at Glangwili Hospital. This is a permanent appointment. The successful candidate will work as part of the Unscheduled Care and GGH team to assist with improving the infrastructure necessary to ensure the service meets its objectives and targets. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Unscheduled Care and business for which the General Manager GGH / Service Delivery Manager is responsible in addition to "Duty Manager of the Day" for patient flow.
We are looking for someone who can work under pressure and manage competing priorities, can work as part of a supportive team and contribute to the strategic aims of the Health Board.

Main duties of the job
Day to day management of strategic and operational business and projects agreed with the General Manager GGH / USC Lead.
Provide regular demand and activity and wider reports on progress to the General Manager GGH / USC Lead in an agreed format and to meet timescales set and through them to the Board and Welsh Government.
Review and evaluate developments in respect of particular projects in Wales, England and the other devolved administrations in order to learn from findings of other healthcare providers and examples of good practice.
Develop robust IT based systems to manage the General Manager GGH / USC Lead business and projects.
To monitor the effectiveness of systems that are introduced and develop appropriate feedback tools.
Appropriate participation and organisation of committees and working groups as directed by the General Manager GGH / USC Lead. The level of participation will be dependent upon the level at which the group is operating in the organisation.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
