The successful post holder will have regular access to senior colleagues and clinical practice groups.

The Hywel Dda Speech and Language Therapy service is keen to promote and actively support leadership skills in all members of staff.

Main duties of the job
Flying Start is part of Welsh Government's early years programme aimed at providing additional support services for children under 4 and their families living in disadvantaged areas of Wales.
You will work alongside Specialist Speech and Language Therapists and Speech & Language Therapy Assistants to provide a service to children with communication difficulties and their families.
You will work with families, carers and Early Years staff to support the development of communication for all children in the Flying Start area and a small number of children outside of the Flying Start footprint. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to provide individual and group speech and language therapy and will be expected to support the development of services to this client group in collaboration with the whole Flying Start/Early Years team. Work is carried out in a variety of locations, including children's homes, nurseries, playgroups and schools.
Raising awareness of the importance of communication is pivotal to this role and will include contribution to groups such as Launch into Language and other parent courses.
