Job summary

The Radiology Department at Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen is seeking to recruit Bank Band 6 Radiographers to join the departmental CT and general team - bank hours as and when required. The successful candidates will have previous experience of CT and/or general imaging preferably in an acute hospital setting.

Main duties of the job

This busy acute District General Hospital carries out a varied mix of workload and participation in the out of hours service will be expected after a suitable training period. We have two CT scanners (Canon Aquilion One Prisma and GE750HD), Siemens Aera MRI Scanner, Siemens DR x-ray room and a Siemens Aris Zee Fluoroscopy Room . Our other general room is being replaced with a Samsung DR room in August. All Mobile equipment is DR.

Glangwili General Hospital is situated within the beautiful county of Carmarthenshire and is close to both the coastline and mountains. Carmarthen is a bustling rural town with many amenities. It is also has good road and rail links to the cities of Swansea and Cardiff.

The Radiology Department encourages Radiographer advancement and there are opportunities to train in modalities.
