Health Care Support Worker School Nursing

Job summary

We are looking for 4 Band 3 Health Care Support Workers to join our School Nursing Service. The vacancies are in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire (please specify in your application which area you are interested in working in). The posts are permanent 30 hours per week working term time only. This is an exciting time to be involved in School Nursing as we are implementing the new refreshed 2017 Welsh Government's 'A Framework for a School Nursing Service in Wales'.

Main duties of the job

School Nurses are central to a range of services that promote public health and support the physical, emotional and social health of children and young people aged between 5 to 18 years and contribute to a healthy school culture. You will be supporting the School Nursing Teams with the School based immunisations and undertake primary school health screening and surveillance.

The ability to speak Welsh is Essential for this post.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
