Job summary
Hywel Dda University Board have a vacancy for a Clinical Physiologist at Band 5 in Neurophysiology.
Applications are invited from experienced physiologists or those that are newly qualified. Training and support will be given if the successful candidate does not meet all of the personal specification.
This self contained department is based at Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen and offers extensive diagnostic services in EEG and Nerve Conduction Studies to both adult and paediatrics.

Plan, perform and interpret a range of Neurophysiological investigations including:
EEG includingUrgent EEG's on ITU, SCBU or general wards at any of the Health Board sites
Perform Visual Evoked Potentials
Perform Nerve Conduction Clinics for Carpal Tunnel Clinics under supervision.
The department would offer support and training to the successful candidate to extend their knowledge and experience.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Use own initiative and interface with the relevant MDT members.
To record, measure and analyse the electrical activity generated by thebrain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves to aid and/or determine diagnosis.
To participate in training, education, supervising students. Work collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with clinicians, nursing and departmental staff to ensure that service needs are met.
