Job summary
The post holder will be required to undertake clinical checking, maintain accurate patients clinical notes, with prompt completion of discharge summaries.
Assist in the teaching and training of Junior Medical Staff and undergraduate students and participate in regular audit meetings.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain invaluable hands on experience in Bronchoscopy, EBUS, Thorascopy, drain insertion.
The aim of the appointment is to provide 'intermediate' grade support to the consultant physicians with a special interest in Respiratory Medicine.Other then a fixed General Chest Clinic, The post-holder will be attached to the respiratory team covering the respiratory registrar when they are on annual and study leave being available for outpatient clinics, ward rounds and general ward duties. Supervision of all admissions to the Wards, Clinical investigation, diagnosis and treatment of all patients admitted to General Medical Ward as well as assisting the Consultants in running the Outpatient Clinics.
Applicants must possess full registration with the GMC. Full MRCP is desirable.
