Job summary

This is a Fixed Term / Secondment until 31/07/2024 to meet the needs of the service. If you are a Hywel Dda University Health Board employee and are applying for this post as a secondment, agreement for the secondment is needed from your current manager prior to application.

Applications are invited from motivated, efficient and committed individuals for the position of Health Records Evening Filing Clerk, based at the Health Records Department, Glangwilli Hospital Carmarthenshire. The post is part-time; working 15 hours per week (between the hours of 4pm - 7pm) Monday to Friday.

This role is predominately to support the extraction/filing back of patient health records.

No experience required as on the job training will be provided. We would welcome you to get in touch with us or call in to visit the department.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include operation of a computerised patients administration system, including inputting and retrieval of data. Locating, extracting and tracking of patient records. Filing of patient records in numerical order and making records available for distribution throughout the Health Board and general telephone duties.

Applicants must possess excellent organisational, inter-personal and numerical skills. A flexible approach to working and working hours is required and you should be prepared to undertake additional duties as and when required. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is vital.
