An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and charismatic Lead Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be a senior figure who will work in a clinical environment to deliver high quality care, whilst developing staff and working alongside managers. You will help to shape the future of the Ultrasound service as the Lead Sonographer of our dedicated and friendly Ultrasound team.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, and experienced Sonographer with a passion for compassionate leadership, who will embrace the opportunity to manage their own team and to lead and develop the Ultrasound service within the Radiology Department at Withybush General Hospital, Pembrokeshire.
Main duties of the job
We perform a wide range of Ultrasound investigations in the Radiology, Ante-natal, and Out-patient departments.
Applicants must be a Registered Health Professional with an appropriate post graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound and evidence of management experience. There may be a requirement to work flexible hours to meet service demands.
You must possess excellent communication/organisational skills, be tactful, diplomatic and able to work alone and as part of a team in this busy department. In addition you may be involved in the supervision of student radiographers.
