Job summary

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 registered nurse to join the Pembrokeshire Community Clinic team.

This includes working within the Leg Ulcer, Catheter and Ear Micro Suction clinics as required.

The post is part-time, 22.5 hours, working three full days per week and travel is an integral part of this post.

We are looking for a registered nurse who is passionate about making a difference to patients' lives and has a keen interest in leg ulcer management/prevention, catheter care and supporting self-care.

The successful candidate will be required to work autonomously and as part of a team, providing high quality, evidence-based intervention to patients in fully- equipped clinics, with the guidance and support of an experienced Team Leader. Training will be provided (as required).

The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential for this post.

Main duties of the job

As a band 5 nurse with the Pembrokeshire Community Clinic team, you will be: -

Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care in community clinic settings to a group of clients/service users.

Ensuring that the delivery of care to clients/service users meets the standards required by regulating bodies, for example, Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Assisting and contributing to the management and organisation of the clinical area.

Actively contributing to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.

Actively participating in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.

Acting as a clinical and professional role model, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.

Working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of clients/service users and their families.
