Job summary
Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Health Professional or Accredited Clinical Research Practitioner (NIHR) to the post of Research Team Lead (Llanelli).
Based at Prince Philip hospital in Llanelli the post holder will lead a multi-professional team and support the continuous development of staff to deliver both commercial and non-commercial clinical trials. In-depth knowledge and experience of healthcare research delivery is essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
The Research Team Lead (Llanelli) will lead and manage a team of research delivery staff and support commercial and non-commercial clinical trials and research studies across the Health Board. They will be expected to promote, improve and maintain high standards of research delivery and contribute to the wider development of research within the Health Board.
The Research Team Lead (Llanelli) will work alongside other team leads based across Hywel Dda and a wider team of research delivery staff who manage their own case load of research projects. The post holder will need an in-depth knowledge of research trial set-up, protocols and their application to practice, alongside a working knowledge of local, national and international research regulations. They will have excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills and expertise in research management and governance.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
